Building the Community in Love

What builds Community? Have you ever thought about this question? I have been thinking about this since I went to Clergy Conference. When we do something that doesn't build up the community of believers then we shouldn't be doing it. Whatever it is. Then I also think we need to ask ourselves what do I do that builds up the body of Christ and what am I doing to tear it down? We need to ask ourselves about our attitudes and behaviors towards one another. Love always builds up the Body, so it isn't about being right it's about learning to engage in a process of active communication. One that invites us to truly listen to one another, to hear the spoken and unspoken word. It invites us to tell our stories in the context of God's story. We are in the midst of living out our stories and we are part of the love story that God invites us to share in the creative and redemptive power of the story. What is your story?
